Photomarathon UK Limited is a registered not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. The company was formally established in March 2006 with the sole intention of developing the Photomarathon concept in the UK. It has two directors, Betina Skovbro and Mathew Talfan. The two were responsible for organising the first two Cardiff Photomarathons in 2004 and 2005.

Photomarathon also replies on the support of a large number of volunteers – friends and entrants – to help run the day and man the exhibition. Our thanks go out to them all.

Betina Skovbro

Betina is a freelance photographer, based in Cardiff. She has worked in South Wales for the past 9 years as a press and portrait photographer. She is responsible for introducing Photomarathon UK to Cardiff in 2004, having taken part in a similar event in her native Copenhagen. As the main co-ordinator, Betina takes the lead in the organisation of the event itself and the subsequent exhibition.

Mathew Talfan

Mathew a is responsible for the marketing and business matters of the event. He was formerly managing director at Cardiff based creative agency 6721 and prior to that worked as a producer and production manager in the television industry for 8 years.
