Winners announced at Cardiff Photomarathon

And the winner is...

First place for Photomarathon 2009 has been awarded to Vijay Hawoldar from Cardiff. The winners of the competition were announced at the opening night of the 2009 Exhibition at Cardiff’s Old Library on The Hayes.

The exhibition is now open to the public and will remain open every day except Mondays until August 9th. The exhibition features every single image taken on the day – well over 4000 – as well as all the winners. With 370 competitors taking part this year, the event had its biggest number of entrants to date.

Betina Skovbro, Director of Photomarathon said “We were delighted with the number of participants that took part this year, the competition keeps going from strength to strength. Although the day of the competition is always a fantastic buzz we love watching peoples reactions at the exhibition, seeing their work on display, seeing different participants topic ideas or people coming along who didn’t take part this year but discussing how they would do it differently and getting inspired to take part next year”..
